Chapter 513

Welcome to our chapter

EAA Chapter 513 officially formed in 1972 and participated in airshows at the Houma Terrebonne Airport which included the Blue Angels, Thunderbirds, Bill and Corkey Fornof and other famous airshow groups. Many of our current members were active then and remember those days fondly. Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 513 of Houma Louisiana Incorporated restructured in 2015 and became a not for profit organization under IRS 501c3 status. Our focus for the chapter in recent years is, the Cajun Fly-in, Kids in Aviation, the Young Eagles program, Eagles program and our F-16 Monument Project. The Cajun Fly-in is sponsored by EAA national, as is our Young Eagles and Eagles Programs. Our Kids in Aviation Program is solely sponsored by our organization, Terrebonne Parish School Board, Houma Terrebonne Airport and individual donors. The F-16 Monument Project is also sponsored by donors. We are from all walks of life, but have one thing in common. We all love the thrill of flight. The chapter has a wealth of craftsmen that are always willing to share ideas and technical support. We always have new aircraft being built and old aircraft being restored. We meet at 6:30 PM the first Tuesday of every month at a designated location (see our monthly newsletter), at the Houma Terrebonne Airport (HUM). 'Hangar Flying' is always on the agenda. Come meet our chapter members and bring a friend or two.
